“OMG!” “Love it!” “I've never seen anything like it before!”

We couldn't have wished for a better reaction to the launch of our new AgileSAFESPACE Nest #2 at Education Estates 2026 in Manchester!

Over two fantastic days, we welcomed education professionals, local authority representatives, SEND specialists and estates teams to our stand, and the response was genuinely exciting.

But it wasn't just the look of the Nest that caught people's attention.

It was what happened when we showed them how it worked!

One space. Two sizes. Endless possibilities.

The real WOW moment came when delegates watched the SafeSpace Nest transform.

With its innovative nesting and expanding design, the Nest can change from a compact, calming space into a larger environment, offering additional room for an adult to work alongside a child or for a different type of intervention.

And when that larger space is no longer needed? It simply retracts back into its compact footprint.

It's such a simple idea, but one that opens up exciting possibilities for how schools create and use inclusive spaces.

And when you need to move it? Just Raise&Relocate!

The innovation doesn't stop with the nesting and expanding design.

SafeSpace Nest #2 also incorporates our innovative Raise&Relocate technology, allowing the entire nested unit to be raised onto its integrated wheels and moved around a room without dismantling it.

This means schools can not only change the size of their SafeSpace Nest, but also reposition it within a classroom or larger learning environment as needs evolve.

Need more floor space? Retract the Nest, activate Raise&Relocate and move it to a new position.

It's another example of how we're challenging the idea that inclusive spaces need to be fixed and permanent.

Expand it. Retract it. Raise it. Relocate it.

One adaptable solution, designed to make better use of the space schools already have.

Designed around children, not just buildings

One of the biggest challenges facing schools is finding space for the growing range of SEND, sensory and wellbeing needs.

Traditional solutions often involve dedicating an entire room, commissioning building work or finding additional space that simply isn't available.

We wanted to approach things differently.

What if a space could adapt throughout the school day?

What if the same footprint could support different activities and different needs?

And what if schools could create additional inclusive provision using the estate they already have?

That's the thinking behind SafeSpace Nest.

Its expanding design offers flexibility without requiring permanent alterations to the building, while Raise&Relocate makes it possible to reposition the unit as needs change.

Bringing ideas from other sectors into education

At AgileAcoustics, we've spent years developing innovative acoustic spaces for universities, workplaces and public sector organisations.

That experience has taught us something important: spaces don't always need to be fixed, permanent or designed around a single purpose.

They can be adaptable, movable and multifunctional.

SafeSpace Nest brings that same thinking into education, but with the needs of children, teaching staff and SEND professionals at its heart.

It's also a perfect example of our wider Agile Inclusive Estates approach: helping schools and local authorities develop more inclusive capacity without automatically turning to traditional construction and fit-out projects.

After all, why dedicate a space to one purpose when it could adapt to the needs of the child?

The conversations have only just begun!

Perhaps the most rewarding part of Education Estates was seeing the genuine excitement from people who immediately recognised how the Nest could work in their own schools.

The questions, ideas and conversations were fantastic.

And that's exactly why we love developing new products.

Not simply to create something different, but to create something that helps schools think differently about the spaces they have and how they can use them.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, shared their ideas and gave SafeSpace Nest such an incredible welcome!

We're looking forward to continuing those conversations.
