AgileAcoustics Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Strategy
Building Sustainable, Inclusive, and Responsible Acoustic Spaces
At AgileAcoustics, our mission is to create accessible, inclusive, and sustainable acoustic solutions that enhance the spaces where people work, learn, and collaborate. As designers, manufacturers, and installers of bespoke acoustic furniture, we recognise our responsibility to lead with purpose — reducing environmental impact, promoting social equity, and upholding strong governance across every aspect of our business. This ESG strategy sets out our commitments to building a better future — for our clients, our communities, and the planet.
1. Environmental Strategy
Goal: Minimise environmental impact across product design, manufacturing, and lifecycle — while promoting circular economy principles.
Key Commitments:
Sustainable Materials:
Continue to prioritise recycled and recyclable materials like rPET polyester in all acoustic products.
Increase transparency around material sourcing and embodied carbon.
Modular & Repairable Design:
Design products for longevity, disassembly, and reupholstery — to reduce waste and extend product life.
Offer modular upgrades and reconfiguration services for clients to adapt rather than replace products.
Manufacturing Efficiency:
Optimise in-house production to reduce offcuts, waste and energy consumption.
Only use UK raw materials and ALWAYS manufacture within the UK to limit transportation emissions.
Net Zero Goal:
Commit to measuring and reducing Scope 1, 2 and key Scope 3 emissions.
Develop a roadmap to Net Zero by 2035, aligned with Science-Based Targets.
2. Social Strategy
Goal: Create inclusive accessible spaces, champion wellbeing, and support people inside and outside the business.
Key Commitments:
Inclusive Design:
Design all acoustic products with accessibility and neurodiversity in mind, ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and alignment with — or exceeding — PAS 6463 inclusive design guidelines.
Expand solutions for neurodiverse users and wheelchair accessibility in pods and booths.
Community Impact:
Engage schools and local authorities in design and manufacturing awareness sessions with a view to developing more products for SEN children.
Employee Wellbeing & Development:
Foster a positive, safe and flexible working environment.
Invest in upskilling the team — including digital design, inclusive design, and sustainability.
Diversity & Inclusion:
Maintain equal opportunity employment practices and foster a diverse team.
Ensure inclusive marketing and client engagement across all sectors.
3. Governance Strategy
Goal: Operate ethically, transparently, and responsibly in all aspects of the business.
Key Commitments:
Ethical Supply Chain:
Vet suppliers for environmental and labour standards.
Prioritise UK-based and ethical partners in procurement.
Data Privacy & Cybersecurity:
Uphold GDPR compliance and best practices for client data protection.
Regularly review IT systems and cybersecurity measures.
