Quiet Innovation for High-Containment Pharma: Bespoke AgilePOD Vista Install at Ezi-Dock Systems

The Challenge

Ezi-Dock Systems, an award-winning Derbyshire-based manufacturer of containment solutions for highly potent APIs, needed to introduce two enclosed meeting spaces within their newly refurbished, open-plan reception area. Following a series of in-depth discussions, a live showroom visit, and multiple rounds of design development, the final solution was agreed: an AgilePOD#10 Vista with our acoustic AgileCANOPY ceiling system, alongside an AgilePOD#12 to accommodate a range of meeting and collaboration needs.

About the client

Founded in 2003, Ezi-Dock Systems Ltd designs and manufactures single-use charge-bags, CSV transfer valves and other life-science process systems. The company holds multiple Queen’s Awards for Innovation and International Trade, recognising its contribution to high-containment powder-handling technology.

The Solution

While Ezi-Dock were impressed with the AgilePOD#10 as the ideal 4-person meeting pod, they also wanted to create an additional breakout space—somewhere users could work privately outside the pod itself, while still making the most of their striking reception area. To achieve this, we integrated an AgileCANOPY alongside the pod, forming a semi-enclosed, acoustically treated zone that comfortably accommodates up to four people for informal meetings or focused solo work.

For their second pod, Ezi-Dock were looking for something with a bit more visual softness and curved appeal—but with a slimmer profile than our standard AgilePOD#12. To meet this brief, we created a custom-width version of the POD#12, carefully adjusted to fit their space perfectly without compromising on style or acoustic performance.

As part of the installation, we also integrated Logitech Meeting Room schedulers mounted just outside each pod and powered via Ethernet. These sleek, touch-enabled panels allow staff to easily check availability and reserve the pods on the spot, seamlessly syncing with Ezi-Dock’s existing room booking system. This added layer of functionality ensures the pods remain easy to manage and fully utilised throughout the day
