A New Innovation in Acoustic Pod Design Is Coming — And It Now Has a Name
Date 19.11.2025 Author: Stuart Jones
For the past few months, we’ve been quietly developing a completely new way to move acoustic Pods — something that solves the long-standing accessibility issues that come with Pods on castors. After extensive R&D, client consultations, rapid prototyping and real-world testing, we’re excited to share two important updates.
1. The Patent Application Is Now Filed
We’re pleased to confirm that our patent application has now been formally submitted:
UK Patent Application No. 2520326.6
This protects the core technology behind our mobility system and marks a huge milestone in bringing this innovation to market.
2. Introducing AgilePOD Raise&Relocate™
Our new powered mobility system now has an official name: AgilePOD Raise&Relocate™.
Raise&Relocate allows an acoustic Pod to be raised at the touch of a button, effortlessly repositioned by the user, and then lowered back down into a fully accessible, Equality Act–compliant state.
Unlike castor-based Pods — which remain permanently elevated and therefore exclude many users — Raise&Relocate maintains full accessibility, stability and safety at all times. Teams get genuine freedom to reconfigure their workspace, without compromising inclusion.
Why This Matters
Many organisations have told us the same thing:
Pods on castors seem great on paper, but in reality they introduce risks, limit who can use them, and often fail to meet accessibility requirements. Some clients even spend thousands each year just moving their Pods.
Raise&Relocate has been engineered to solve all of this — and more.
What Happens Next
We’re now finalising the production-ready system and preparing a private demo event in early 2026 for workplace and facilities leaders.
If you’d like early access to updates or would like to attend the pre-launch showcase, just let us know — we can add you to the list.
